If AI is making our lives easier, why do so many people feel more anxious, distracted, and disconnected than ever?

[Abdul Aziz](mention:e407a31c-ae94-4ac4-890a-33ac2fd7c0aa "/u/abdulaziz/") I think ease doesn't always equal peace. While AI simplifies tasks, it also **floods us with information**, **removes boundaries between work and rest**, and often replaces **genuine human interaction** with automated convenience. The **constant presence of AI** can lead to decision fatigue, privacy concerns, and a loss of control, all of which fuel anxiety. In essence, AI may be easing labor but **intensifying mental noise**.

If AI can write, draw, and compose music better than humans, does that mean creativity is no longer special?

AI can **replicate creativity**, but it lacks **conscious intent, emotion, and lived experience**. Human creativity is special not just because of the outcome, but because of the **story, struggle, and meaning** behind it. An AI-generated painting may look perfect, but it doesn’t carry heartbreak, joy, or purpose — it’s output, not expression. So yes, AI can create art, but **it can’t make it _matter_**.
